Pledged & invested
As of August 7, 2026, PKR 781,935 million was pledged. Of that, AKES, P. received and invested PKR 741,502 million. This was an increase of about 150 million in the last six months.
Profit & utilization
During May 2024 - April 2025, the fund generated a profit of PKR 16.54M, of which PKR 12.40M (75%) was spent on supporting needy students. The remaining 4.13 million (25%) was ploughed back to the corpus to ensure its long-term sustainability.
Students supported
During the academic year 2025-26, 426 students across eleven AK schools were supported from the profit. The support varied from 20% to over 80% of the tuition fee.
Next year's projection
The fund is projected to support 850 needy students during the next academic year 2026-27.
This is substantial progress. The ‘Access to Education Project’ that began with PKR 10 million has now multiplied more than seventyfold in three and a half years, and the benefits are now reaching to hundreds of needy students at AK schools in Pakistan.
We hope that, with continued efforts and anticipated support, In Shah Allah, the corpus will cross over 2,000 million in the next 3-4 years that would support over 5,000 students annually on a perpetual basis.
Reaching the North
Around 70% of supported students belong to North Pakistan. This was because of the overwhelming need in those areas.
New donors
It has also been reported that a tendency to donate to Imamate institutions is now developing among the people from the North; that was a welcome gesture.
Way forward
Support for students from the North should not come at the expense of needy students from the South. Therefore, there is more need to strengthen the Endowment Corpus for the Access to Education.
